We had a similar thing in the UK on an old Sunday morning show called TMWRNJ where they would come up with lazy puns for sitcoms... An example being
Fruit and Nut
Ian Fruit, a flamboyant elderly raconteur, shares a flat with Ian Nut, a dangerous schizophrenic who has escaped from Broadmoor Hospital. Ian Fruit can only eat nuts, Ian Nut can only eat fruit, but they are both allergic to fruit and nut chocolate. As Ian Nut is mad he always secretly puts fruit and nut chocolate in everything they eat. With fatal consequences.
It's a cult thing us british love, YouTube TMWRNJ and know that it was on at lunchtime on a Sunday on bbc! Very risky but I think the funniest Brit show there is.
Hahaha, I love it. British humo(u)r is far superior to American humor, I think. I'm a big ol' French and Saunders fan myself. I'll definitely check TMWRNJ out.
